Major Settlement in Child Disappearance Case Against the City of Bridgeport
Representing the family of Bianca Lebron, Goldman, Gruder & Woods reached a settlement in its suit against the City of Bridgeport and Bridgeport Board of Education for the abduction of Bianca Lebron in 2001. The firm alleged that a teacher and the Bridgeport Board of Education failed to protect Bianca Lebron, a ten year old elementary school student attending Elias Howe Elementary School, who disappeared during school hours. Bianca Lebron has yet to be found despite an extensive search by the police and FBI. It is important that "we not forget this child", states Attorney Angelo Maragos who is handling the litigation on behalf of the Lebron family.
