While well-versed and experienced in many litigation fields, Attorney Woods practices predominately in the areas of creditor's rights, employment, planning and zoning, tax appeals, construction law (including arbitration), land disputes, contract litigation, personal injury litigation, evictions and foreclosures. As Trial Counsel for the City of Milford, Connecticut, Attorney Woods handles all tax and zoning appeals for the City. In other municipalities, he represents property owners, developers, and neighborhood associations in these matters with great success. In addition, Attorney Woods has tried or settled over 200 personal injury and accident cases. He limits his personal injury and accident cases to matters in which he can provide necessary personal attention to the client and does not delegate matters to paralegals, investigators or other non-lawyers. Matthew is married to Deborah MacLeese Woods and has two children. He devotes substantial volunteer time as a Chairman of the Milford Permanent School Facilities Building Committee and member of the City of Milford Republican Town Committee. |
